WHAT TO EXPECT AS A CONSULTANT AT BASE?

At BASE, the customer is king, and we go out of our way to get the job done and deliver high-quality results. As a consultant you will work in close collaboration with the customer and be the extension of BASE. Essentially, you will be BASE.

Our customers value our pragmatic solutions and flexible problem-solving approach. It is therefore important that you:

  • thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking on new challenges
  • are motivated by delivering high-quality results and meeting the customer’s requirements
  • have a customer oriented mindset and can think on your feet
  • have 2-5 years of working experience

You will join a highly ambitious and specialised, yet informal, company. We will expect much of you, but we also value the hard work you put in delivering successful projects and making our customers succeed. There are plenty of opportunities to grow, and we will encourage you to find your own, unique approach as a consultant. We are based in Denmark but target a global customer base and offer an international work place.

At BASE, we change the base of life science. And we have fun doing it.

“Everyone is enormously ambitious but at the same time helpful, so the learning environment here is quite unique”

Natalia Antypa

Senior Consultant

Consultant at BASE life science since 2016

What does a consultant actually do? I had never really thought about that. I had assumed that I would start my PhD studies within Plant Biotechnology, but a friend informed me that BASE life science was looking for new consultants, with an interest in life science. I was in Denmark to follow a research program at the University of  Copenhagen. I applied, was invited to an interview and ultimately got the job.

Although the world of the consultant was new to me, it was easy to blend in. People from all levels were ready to help me quickly making me feel at home. I have a mentor I can spar with, as well as an ”individual manager” who is my personal manager. I was previously assigned to testing and now I am mostly involved in documentation. Sporadically, I have supported the development of BASE Academy, our teaching unit which works with competence development both internally and externally, from strategy to hands-on implementation.

The culture at BASE life science is quite special. I get to work with some of the most competent consultants in their fields, and all are pleased to share their knowledge. Whether you have been here for five years or just arrived yesterday, everyone is treated with the greatest of respect. I can really be myself. Everyone is enormously ambitious but at the same time helpful, so the learning environment here is quite unique. My friends outside of BASE life science are jealous of my work.

It would be great if you ...

Have the right professional qualifications
Take pride in successful delivery
Thrive in a collaborative and informal environment
