About the role

As our new Financial Controller, you will assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members and establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation. Creating monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts and managing cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports. In addition:

  • Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information
  • Collaborate with data migration experts on developing new tools
  • Reconcile intercompany and do the consolidation of the group
  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Provide other support to the CFO as required

Who you are?

We imagine that you are based in Denmark, preferably the Copenhagen region and to succeed in this role you come with:

  • Excellent organizational skills and a multitasker
  • Ability and thrive working in a dynamic environment, maintain high-quality work and meet critical deadlines on short notice
  • Able to gather and process a high volume of data or information and structure the outcome (i.e. taking and conducting minutes and actions in a board or executive management meeting)
  • Confident in chasing and following up with senior stakeholders
  • Exemplifies trustworthiness, confidentiality, work ethic, and discretion.
  • Highly collaborative and works for the success of the team
  • Structured and able to provide structure to others
  • Project management skills/tools
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, as you will work with top management
  • Excellent communicator, both in written and oral – English is a prerequisite, Danish will be nice to have
  • Basic skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • It would be a plus if you are aware (or even trained) in Agile


We would imagine that you come equipped with a:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field from a leading university
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
  • High attention to detail, analytical skills, and understanding of data privacy standards
  • Process improvement experience and the curiosity to challenge the status quo
  • Implementing financial and operational controls and a strong understanding of accounting standards
