Why do we need you? 

We experience an increasing demand for our people and services, so our business is scaling rapidly. To support our strategic aspirations and the next leg of our international growth journey, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to drive employer branding activities and recruitment processes in close collaboration with hiring managers and colleagues across HR, Marketing, and Strategy Office. You will also play a key role in our pre-boarding and onboarding to ensure new joiners feel welcome and are set up for success right from the outset.

BASE was founded in Denmark as a boutique consultancy, offering services exclusively to the life sciences industry. Growth has always been part of our DNA, and international growth has been strong on our agenda lately. Just 18 months ago, BASE counted 59 people with only one person based outside of Denmark – now we are 139 people (and counting), and 39 of us are based across 8 different countries outside of Denmark. To ensure we can continue to scale successfully and keep up with the demand for our services, we need your help.

What will your role look like?

You will join the HR team counting an HR Director, two awesome part-time assistants, and you. The role is new, so you will have the opportunity to influence how it is carved – we will look forward to discuss your thoughts and perspectives.

Your main areas of responsibility will be to:

  • Drive employer branding activities to effectively attract skilled and diverse talent to BASE
    • You convey our story and growth journey and help build an exceptional employer brand
    • You drive initiatives to proactively engage with potential new employees
    • You actively work to reduce barriers to diversity in STEM and consulting
  • Own the recruiting process and support the recruitment of diverse talent
    • You build and maintain hiring strategies and talent pipelines based on a deep understanding of our business strategy – in close collaboration with Executive Management and hiring managers
    • You drive the full spectrum of recruitment, assessment, and selection activities including testing, complex offer negotiations, and contracting
    • You help drive proactive search for selected roles and identify and partner with external providers as required to ensure hiring needs are met across geographies and business needs
    • You actively work towards building a diverse and highly qualified team, positioning BASE for succeeding with our strategic aspirations
  • Drive pre- and onboarding activities to set new joiners up for success
    • You recognize the importance of building a strong relationship early on and making sure new BASErs are set up for success from day one (even before, actually)
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects supporting the people and culture ambitions at BASE
    • We are a small HR team with big ambitions, so we collaborate flexibly to make an impact and add value to the people and culture agenda broadly

We would guess this is true about you

You probably have relevant academic credentials and a proven track record in talent acquisition with strategies to attract top talent in a fast-paced international environment (recruiting experience in consultancy, life sciences, or tech would be an advantage). It would be awesome if you have hands-on experience from a similar position and full-stack expertise within recruitment practices, candidate sourcing, behavioural interviewing, testing, selection, and contracting.

You need excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Danish is not required) as well as excellent interpersonal skills: You are proactive and keen to deliver an outstanding experience for candidates and hiring managers alike, and you exercise effective judgment, sensitivity to cultural differences, discretion, and creativity to changing needs and situations with the ability to manage competing priorities. You have strong interviewing and probing skills and excellent negotiations skills.

Above all, your high energy and passion along with your mindset and attitude will qualify you for the role. We want you to have a growth mindset and a wish to acquire new skills, just as we need you to have a passionate hunting mindset and the ability to find those hard-to-find niche skillsets and convert them into robust talent pipelines. A can-do attitude is a must and providing innovative thinking and strategies to develop disruptive approaches would make you top our chart.

You are probably rather organized and detail-oriented (or have mitigating strategies to stay on top of things) and are eager to remain up to date with employment legislation. We will love you for your strong business acumen and your ability to quickly establish a deep understanding of the products, services, and profiles of our particular line of business.

Our Danish office is currently based in Lyngby, but in March we will move our HQ to new offices in Copenhagen (Østerbro). Regardless of where we reside, we offer great flexibility with regards to where and when you work. Whether you are at the office often or less so is up to you – just as you can plan your work hours according to your need and preferences, as long as the majority is within normal office hours.
