About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Senior Consultant with expertise in the Pharmaceutical and/or Med Tech industry to join our System Operations team as Veeva RIM Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing post-implementation consultancy, designing, implementing and supporting technology solutions, L2 support, and ensuring optimal performance of Veeva RIM vaults. While RIM will be your primary focus, you will have the opportunity to expand your support to other R&D IT systems such as Veeva Quality, QMS, Vault Training and Clinical). This role requires a deep understanding of pharmaceutical and medical device processes, regulatory requirements, and advanced IT knowledge to support our business objectives and optimize our IT infrastructure.
As a Senior Consultant your responsibilities include:
- Provide expert advice and support post-implementation of Veeva RIM, ensuring it aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Offer L2 support for RIM submissions and registrations, resolving complex issues promptly.
- Act as RIM Admin on behalf of the client.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and systems.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Lead initiatives to optimize IT solutions, ensuring they meet evolving business and regulatory needs.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in IT, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
- Work closely with Business stakeholders to refine the backlog and complete risk and impact assessments.
- Support migrations and integrations to the RIM vault using loader sheets and the Veeva API.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards.
- Oversee the change and release management processes.
We offer this position in the USA to support the East Coast client hours.

The ideal candidate for the Veeva Vault RIM Consultant position is an experienced IT professional with a robust background in managing Veeva RIM systems.
They are adept at troubleshooting complex issues, providing expert post-implementation support, and optimizing Veeva systems to enhance business operations. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is essential. Certifications in IT and project management, along with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation, complete the profile of the ideal candidate.
On top of this, you have the following competences:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years experiences with cloud computing, customer interaction and data analytics in a pharma or medical device context.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in IT systems, with at least 3 years’ experience in configuring Veeva RIM systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong sense of responsibility to complete task under time constraints.
- Self-driven.
It will be a plus if you have these additional capabilities:
- Proficiency in other Veeva R&D systems (e.g. QD, QMS, VT, CTMS, CDMS).
- Foreign language knowledge (in addition to English).
- Proven experience as an IT consultant in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry (GxP).
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering successful IT projects, preferably with some Agile experience.
- Best practices in IT service management (ITIL).
- Veeva RIM certification in regulatory admin.
